Stab threat thief tasered

A KNIFE-wielding woman caught shoplifting was tasered by armed police officers in a Staffordshire supermarket.

Serial offender Rachael Beavon, 36, had locked herself in a room at an Asda store in Cannock, threatening to kill any officer who entered.

An armed response team had to batter down the door and taser guns were used to stun Beavon. She was jailed for 18 months on Friday.
